Romain Cogitore is an author and filmmaker born in 1985, he lives and works in Paris. He quickly established himself as a notable filmmaker, by shooting his first feature, Fifteen Lads, at the age of 25.
His work questions our contemporary loves, grasping the question of the romance and its actualisation. It also challenges our relationship with nature, exploring the tensions of our time, torn between consumption, technologies and the quest for meaning, for beauty. Along with cinema he cultivates a cross-practice of arts such as photography, poetry, music and theatre.
