House on Fire
Well-known for producing most of Tsai Ming-Liang’s films, the French-Taiwanese producer Vincent Wang, with author-director Antoine Barraud, created the Paris based production company House on Fire in 2009. French producer Fred Bellaïche, joined the adventure later on, and their common desire to uphold and promote a high standard of ambitious cinema made them hit it off, like a house on fire.
Together, they keep on finding unique visions of cinema and understanding filmmakers through their artistically ambitious films. They want to share a poetic and powerful cinematographic vision with the world.
In 2013, they founded House on Fire International, an Asian branch based in Taiwan, to reinforce the exchange with Asian film industry an to develop tailor-made strategies for challenging artistics projects.
The result are original and high quality film, crucial for understanding the present and for defining tomorow.

Vincent WANG (producer/CEO)
Vincent Wang originated from Taiwan and worked in France as line producer until meeting Tsai Ming-Liang in 1999. Together, they founded the production company Homegreen Films in Taiwan, also with actor Lee Kang Sheng.
13 years and 8 feature films later, Vincent Wang came back to France and founded House on Fire together with Antoine Barraud in order to continue supporting quality works between Asia and Europe, such as those of the great filmmakers João Pedro Rodrigues, Wang Bing or those of the emerging generations like Antoine Barraud, Midi Z, Carlo Francisco Manatad or Zhang Tao.
Vincent Wang is also a member of the ACE Producers network of independent producers, of the European Film Academy (EFA), of the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques (Césars) and of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars).
Antoine Barraud (producer/director)
Antoine Barraud directed his first short film Monster in 2005, followed immediately by Monster Flood and, Number two, all presented in major festivals of French and international short films as Angers, Clermont Ferrand, Brive, Sarajevo, Taipei, Moncton and others. He realizes in 2007 a medium length film based on improvisation, Song, with Lu Yi Ching, Tsai Ming Liang fetish actress, and Nobuhiro Suwa Japanese director of M/other. The film is presented in different festivals including Turin.
Following several experimental portraits of filmmakers like Kenneth Anger, Shuji Terayama and Koji Wakamatsu. Some of his portraits are presented at FID Marseille, Indie Lisboa, Turin, and gathered by the French Cinematheque at a special evening in 2010. He co-directed Son of a Gun in 2011 with Claire Doyon, a tribute to New York Super 8 Weegee. In addition, he co-produced with Homegreen Films Madam Butterfly directed by Tsai Ming Liang. In 2010 he produced with Catherine Libert restoration of three Pierre Clementi films which will open the New York Film Festival in the Avant Garde section. In 2012 he produces the last film of Stephen Dwoskin Age is… and direct his first long feature film, The Sinkholes with Nathalie and Mathieu Amalric produced by Les Films du Bélier. Both films were presented in the 2012 Locarno Festival.
In 2013, Antoine Barraud directed Portait of the Artist (Le Dos Rouge) and later Madeleine Collins, in 2021, which screened at multiple festivals, including Toronto, Venice and Chicago. He is currently developing his next feature film Le Lit de la Rivière.
Fred Bellaïche (producer)
Fred Bellaïche produced numerous French authors, such as Raphaël Nadjari, with his company Shilo Films. He joined House on Fire
Bastien Metay (production assistant)
Originating from France, he studied cinema in Italy and acquired production experience in Taiwan where in was based for four years. With House on Fire, he worked on projects like The Shameless (Best Actress in Cannes 2024) and Black Tea (selected in Berlin 2024) etc.
Bastien speaks fluently four languages: Mandarin Chinese, French, English, and Italian. Having worked five years in business sales, he also possesses high communicational and organizational skills.

Nobu Tsai started his production career working Edward Yang’s animation company, he then collaborated with all kind of film directors. In 2012, he founded House On Fire International in Taipei (Associated with House on Fire in Paris) to produce films between Europe and Asia. He is committed to finding the optimal balance between artistic vision and effective production, creating innovative content and incorporating cross industry cooperation. He collaborates with emerging Taiwanese directors, promoting local culture internationally. Since 2023, he is working on film and TV series aimed for families and elders.
