A nearly blind reclusive physicist reluctantly shares a hospital room with an eccentric woman photographer suffering from dementia. A witty yet childish battle of wills ensues as the arrogant grandpa and the whimsical old lady are forced into close quarters. Despite his wish for isolation, he finds himself ever more drawn into her puzzling world. Together, they embark upon a “road trip” along the hospital grounds, where he surprisingly discovers that he needs her presence to prevent the fading light from disappearing for good.
